Billing, Cancellation & Refund Policy

Effective August 29, 2026

A plain-language explanation of subscriptions, cancellation, billing issues, and one-time credits.

1. Scope and payment authorization

This policy forms part of the Terms of Service between Pixel Reef LLC, doing business as PeopleDat, and the purchasing organization. It applies to monthly subscriptions, one-time PayGo credits, promotional credits, billing support, cancellation, refunds, reversals, and disputes.

Before purchase, Checkout displays the product, credit quantity or recurring plan, currency, amount due, billing frequency, and applicable purchase terms. By confirming, you represent that you are authorized to purchase for the organization and authorize PeopleDat and Stripe to charge the selected payment method.

2. Subscription billing and renewal

Paid PeopleDat subscriptions are billed monthly. Each renews automatically each month using the payment method on file until canceled. New recurring subscription purchases are available through the secure Stripe Checkout; one-time PayGo purchases remain available as well.

Subscription Checkout shows the price, billing frequency, amount due, and any applicable tax before payment is confirmed. A promotion is subject to the eligibility, duration, and other terms displayed with that offer or at Checkout.

A subscription is purchased for one organization, not for an individual seat. Active subscriptions and any settled PayGo purchase unlock unlimited organization teammates and eligible live developer features without a Stripe quantity or per-seat charge. Credits are pooled at the organization level even when the organization uses several client workspaces.

Paid plan switching is not currently offered. To choose a different paid plan, cancel the current subscription at period end and select a new plan after that subscription ends.

PeopleDat may change a subscription price for a future renewal after giving reasonable advance notice. The price already paid for a current billing period does not change. If you do not accept a future price, cancel before the first renewal charged at that price.

3. How cancellation works

To cancel a subscription, sign in and open Dashboard → Billing → Manage Billing. Complete the cancellation in the Stripe-hosted billing portal before your next renewal date. Online cancellation does not require a telephone call or a sales conversation.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period. You can continue using the paid plan through that date, and the subscription will not renew for another period. If you cannot access your account or the billing portal, contact support as soon as possible. A support request received after a renewal has already been processed may stop the next renewal without reversing the completed charge.

If the organization has never completed a settled PayGo purchase, a subscription lapse suspends non-owner access and live API keys, webhooks, widgets, and MCP requests after paid access ends. Memberships and workspace data are not deleted, and qualifying access returns when paid status is restored. A prior settled PayGo purchase keeps team and live developer entitlement available, subject to remaining credits and service limits.

4. Refunds and billing issues

Canceling a subscription does not automatically create a prorated credit or refund for the current billing period. This policy does not limit any right or remedy that cannot be waived under applicable law.

If you believe a charge is incorrect or duplicated, or a material service failure affected a purchase, submit the details through support. PeopleDat will review the circumstances and any requirements that apply. This policy does not promise a particular refund window or outcome.

Except where law requires otherwise or PeopleDat expressly agrees after review, subscription fees and consumed credits are non-refundable. Approved refunds are made to the original payment method when practicable. A refund can remove credits or entitlement delivered by the refunded purchase.

5. One-time PayGo credits

PayGo credit purchases are one-time purchases, not recurring subscriptions. The number of credits and the amount charged are shown before you confirm payment. PayGo credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred outside the service.

PayGo credits currently do not expire while your account remains open and PeopleDat continues to operate the service. Unknown/provider-failure and policy-excluded results do not use subscription or PayGo credits. Known usable cache hits and other conclusive results use one normal credit because they return a completed result.

PayGo credits fund the organization pool. They are not assigned to a particular user, client workspace, API key, widget, or schedule. Configured caps restrict how credits can be spent but do not reserve credits or create a separate balance.

PayGo credits are a limited contractual right to request the Service, not a bank account, stored-value card, deposit, security, or property right in provider capacity. If PeopleDat permanently discontinues paid verification, it will provide the notice and remedy, if any, required by applicable law. Credits obtained by fraud, charge reversal, error, or material breach may be withheld or removed.

6. Promotional and trial credits

Trial or promotional credits are not purchased credits, have no cash value, and may be limited, revoked for abuse, or expire as disclosed with the offer. They cannot be transferred or redeemed. Unless an offer clearly says otherwise, receiving promotional credits does not enroll the organization in a paid subscription.

7. Automatic and capped spending

PeopleDat does not automatically buy credits or top up the organization balance. A recurring hygiene schedule cannot be enabled until an authorized user confirms a maximum number of credits per run. If the complete estimate exceeds that cap or the available balance, the schedule runs nothing rather than partially spending.

Organization owners and admins can set member and client-workspace limits, and key or widget owners can set credential-specific daily caps. These safeguards are checked when work reserves credits, but customers remain responsible for reviewing access, caps, and active integrations.

8. Failed or disputed payments

A failed, reversed, or disputed payment may delay credit delivery or limit paid service access while the payment issue is resolved. Supported payment details and available invoices can be managed from the billing portal.

Contact support before filing a chargeback so PeopleDat can investigate a duplicate, unauthorized, or incorrect charge. This request does not waive a right to dispute a charge with the payment provider. PeopleDat may provide Stripe and the card network with transaction, acceptance, account, usage, and communication records reasonably necessary to respond to a dispute.

9. Taxes and invoices

Subscription Checkout calculates applicable tax where Stripe Tax is configured. PayGo Checkout displays the total PeopleDat will charge, but automated PayGo tax calculation is not currently enabled. The organization is responsible for taxes, duties, or assessments that apply to its purchase and are not collected by PeopleDat, other than taxes based on PeopleDat's net income.

The organization owner is responsible for accurate billing identity, address, and tax information. Available receipts and invoices are provided through Stripe and the billing portal.
